About Bath Fitter
Bath Fitter is a well-known name in home remodeling and bathroom renovation. Each location utilizes a specialized team of installers with extensive experience in residential and commercial bathroom remodeling. This team revitalizes the client’s bathroom using high-quality, state-of-the-art acrylic bathtubs, showers and tub liners.
Taking advantage of Bath Fitter’s hallmark technology, many homeowners choose to avoid the added time and cost of the removal process by covering bathtubs and tile with a custom-made acrylic liner. These products are attractive, pristine, easy-to-clean and durable, lasting for 20 years or more. A major selling point is that customers don’t have to worry about mold or mildew with acrylic bathroom furnishings.
Each acrylic shower base, bathtub, liner, wall covering and door is heat-formed following individual bathroom measurements. This ensures a perfect fit that lives up to the client’s design vision. Customers can select unique tile and marble patterns, and even specific colors, for their dream bathroom. In most cases, installation happens within 24 hours.

Why Choose Bath Fitter?
Bath Fitter enjoys an excellent reputation due to its emphasis on high-quality materials, professional installation and lifetime warranties. The franchise utilizes a number of exclusive systems that make it a good choice for business owners looking to expand into customer-friendly bathroom renovations. For example, Bath Fitter’s floor-to-ceiling, seamless wall liners are a global first. It’s also one of the only companies in the world to offer custom heat-formed acrylic bathtubs and showers.
Growth continues strong for the franchise both at a corporate level and in terms of franchise locations, with Bath Fitter recently embarking on a $5.1 million expansion at its Tennessee headquarters. It has gone from approximately 130 stores in 2004 to over 250 locations in little more than a decade.
Bath Fitter franchisees can take advantage of significant market interest from homeowners looking to install, modify or renovate bath fixtures. There are three main factors that lead to the company’s popularity: speed, reduced installation costs and worry-free remodeling. Many homeowners like being able to have a beautiful bathroom in as little as 24 hours, while saving money by avoiding more complex installation.

Training & Support
There are separate training programs for franchise owners and employees responsible for product installation. Managers receive three days of classroom instruction and additional on-the-job training, while installers attend 10 days of practical training. Ongoing instruction is available via a company hotline.
History
The idea for Bath Fitter was born in the early 1980s, after founder Brian Cotton attempted a complex traditional bathroom renovation and was extremely disappointed by the results. Determined to invent a better way of bringing old bathrooms to life — without having to mess around with tub removal, broken tile and rusty plumbing — Cotton contacted his brothers Glenn and Wayne and pitched the idea of a bathtub liner for total remodels in far less time.
In 1984, Bath Fitter launched, creating its first high-tech acrylic bathtubs in Montreal, Canada. In 1987, the company established its own manufacturing plant to form the liners. Over the years, Bath Fitter has continued to establish a huge presence in the United States and Canada, winning countless awards and opening hundreds of franchise locations. To this day, the company is the largest manufacturer of acrylic bathtubs, bathtub liners and shower liners, performing well over a million replacements throughout North America.
Ideal Candidate
The Bath Fitter franchise is a good fit for people who have previous business experience or a talent for management. Owners need to be good leaders who can manage installation, marketing, customer service and other departments. It is not necessary to have experience in construction, plumbing, tub installation or other aspects of bathroom remodeling, since franchisees and their employees receive extensive training.
At the same time, Bath Fitter expects franchisees to dedicate complete attention to the business, meaning that attempting to run multiple companies simultaneously may disqualify applicants.
