Training & Support
Training is available at least four times a year. Initial training consists of up to 20 business days of classroom and on-the-job training related to opening the franchise. Up to two individuals are eligible to participate without incurring additional fees. Transportation, lodging and other associated expenses are the responsibility of the attendees.
History
In 1983, Blackjack Pizza was founded as an alternative to the only other pizza restaurant in Colorado. In less than a year, a second location was opened by Vince Schmuhl. Adding even more stores over the next few years around Colorado, demand continued to grow. In 1988, Blackjack Pizza sold several of their corporate stores and started franchising. The next step included converting several independent operators to franchises. Their goal was to grow the business by adding franchise locations in slow, controlled growth. They have expanded into several other states growing to 42 current locations in 5 states, including Florida.
Acquired by Askar Brands in 2013, the organization has extensive experience in the pizza business, both in the recipes and the back house.
Today, Blackjack Pizza continues to enjoy serving quality pizza, salads and sandwiches to people of all ages.
