History
Bricks & Minifigs began as a dream of David Ortiz, a stay-at-home father of twin boys, who in 2003, thought of creating a better way to buy, sell, and trade LEGO® items. He met John Masek in 2009, and the two, after battling each other over a LEGO® collection bid, decided to collaborate. Combining David’s knowledge of LEGO® and John’s retail experience, they opened their first store in 2010. Bricks & Minifigs started franchising in 2011 and by 2018, had over 41 stores in operation in the US and Canada.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for a Bricks & Minifigs franchise would be a LEGO® enthusiast with an outstanding work ethic and a passion to succeed. Someone who loves the simple joy of a child's smile and delights in facilitating the creation of masterpieces from LEGO® sets. Retail or LEGO® building experience is not necessary; what is important is a strong work ethic and a passion for customer service.
