About Burgerim
Burgerim is a fast-casual restaurant that focuses on customized hamburgers made with high-quality ingredients. It has a strong presence in California and continues expanding throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Customers start by selecting the type of protein they want, including lamb, salmon, wagyu or dry-aged beef, chicken breast, falafel and other made-from-scratch patties. Burgers come in signature 3-ounce sizes that are slightly larger than sliders, in addition to 1/3 and 1/4-pound options. Classic buns, gluten-free buns and lettuce wraps allow for even more customization.
After that, customers can add numerous fresh toppings to create a personalized burger, such as pineapple slices, fried eggs, red cabbage slaw, sautéed mushrooms, avocado, caramelized onions and other ingredients. Special sauce possibilities include tzatziki, tahini, habanero aioli, just to name a few.
When visitors choose the traditional Burgerim 3-ounce patties, they have the option of purchasing two, three or more burgers, and customizing each one uniquely. This is helpful for family orders and party occasions.

Why Choose Burgerim?
Burgerim’s unique take on burgers has made it one of the fastest growing franchises in the fast-casual market. With almost 500 total U.S. units planned for operation in 2019, it’s clear that Burgerim’s concept is popular across the country. While many hamburger franchises are located in the QSR market and cater to individuals looking for a cheap meal as fast as possible, Burgerim is directed to lovers of gourmet food who want convenience without sacrificing ingredient quality. This puts the franchise squarely in the popular fast casual segment.
Potential Burgerim franchise owners may be able to capitalize on this increasing preference of American consumers for fast-casual dining restaurants. Offering fully customizable gourmet burgers made from scratch with high-quality toppings may appeal to health-conscious individuals, business professionals who want a fast but healthier meal option, and families who prefer eating out/takeout but want food that is more nutritious than QSR offerings. Burgerim’s menu also takes into account vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets, so the chain can cater to consumers who value these lifestyles.
Significant social media marketing and a heavy emphasis on digital branding connect the Burgerim brand with growing numbers of younger consumers. One example is the chain’s recent partnership with Instagram influencer and food critic Foodgod, Jonathan Cheban, who has over three million followers.

Training & Support
Burgerim provides initial training for new franchisees at corporate headquarters in California. This initial training program lasts from four to six days. One week of opening assistance and on-site training is also included at restaurant launch.
History
The international history of Burgerim started with Donna Tuchner, an Israeli native trained in the U.S. as a chef. Tuchner opened the very first Burgerim in Tel Aviv in 2008. In fact, the name Burgerim is Hebrew for “many burgers.”
Four years later, the franchise was purchased by entrepreneur Oren Loni, who opened the first U.S. location in 2016, in the state of California. In just a few years, Burgerim had over 70 restaurants around the country, and today that number reaches into the hundreds. There are now currently locations in 16 countries around the world.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal Burgerim franchise candidate has an outgoing personality, passion for the brand and a forward-looking attitude that embraces digital technology, millennials and Gen Z consumers. No previous franchising or restaurant management experience is required, though business experience is a plus for applicants.
Applicants also need from $40,000 to $70,000 for the initial franchise fee. Instead of paying a lump-sum franchise fee of $50,000 ($40,000 for U.S. veterans), new franchisees may choose a deferred payment plan of $35,000 upon signing the agreement and another $35,000 once the restaurant lease is signed. This gives applicants with limited liquid capital increased flexibility for opening a Burgerim location.
