History
Michael Williams is the founder of The Gutter Guys. He started his rain gutter business in 1988 after an initial career in the restaurant and hospitality business. Michael was disappointed with the local rain gutter businesses that provided bids for work on his new home, so he decided to start his own company to provide customers with exceptional service and high-quality craftsmanship.
The Gutter Guys began offering nontraditional franchising opportunities to existing employees based on insight and advice from Michael's CPA, Chuck Johnson. Together, Michael and Chuck came up with a franchising system that would open new territories for The Gutter Guys brand by allowing employees to open their own operations under the company's name.
Eventually, Chuck sold his accounting practice to join The Gutter Guys full-time to help facilitate employee-to-franchisee opportunities. Today, the company serves customers in four states, with employees and franchisees operating out of nine different offices.
