Our signature S.C.E.N.T. Training curriculum (Skin, Coat, Ears, Nails, and Teeth) ensures you and your team understand how to deliver consistent, high-quality dog wellness services.

Before, during, and after your grand opening, you’ll receive ongoing support from our corporate team, including business coaching, marketing and technology assistance, and regular performance check-ins. History

Scenthound was founded in 2005 by CEO Tim Vogel, who began with a simple mission: to make essential dog care accessible, consistent, and affordable for every pet parent. What started as a mobile grooming business quickly revealed a major gap in the industry—most dogs, especially those that don’t require regular haircuts, weren’t receiving the basic hygiene and wellness care they needed. Determined to change that, Tim and his wife, Jessica Vogel, opened their first brick-and-mortar location in 2010, creating a model that prioritized health over aesthetics.

After years of testing and perfecting their approach, the Vogels launched Scenthound in 2013 and began franchising in 2019. The concept—centered on subscription-based wellness services and powered by data and technology—has grown rapidly nationwide. By 2023, Scenthound had awarded more than 400 franchise locations and was recognized by Inc. 5000 and Franchise Business Review as one of America’s fastest-growing franchises.
