About Yoshi's
Yoshi's Fresh Asian Grill (also referred to simply as "Yoshi's") is a quick-service restaurant with a menu of items inspired by Japanese cuisine. Founder Yoshi Natori, a Nagano native, believes in offering customers affordable food that doesn't skimp on quality. Fresh ingredients, teriyaki sauce that's made in house daily, and high-quality meat ensure that the food is both delicious and healthy. While Japanese cuisine serves as the main inspiration for the menu, there are other choices as well, providing customers with a wide variety of meal options.
The Yoshi's menu offers a mix of noodle dishes, rice bowls, stir fry meals, and sushi. Traditional Asian favorites, such as orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, hibachi beef, and udon noodles, are all available. There are also several sushi options, including California rolls and spicy chicken rolls. Some Yoshi's locations provide eat-in areas, but take-out orders are popular among many customers. The restaurant features a happy hour every afternoon with discount deals on teriyaki chicken bowls. Customers can order party platters of sushi, teriyaki, and stir fry dishes for private events or work functions.
One unique feature that sets Yoshi's apart from competitors is the option to order online or through a mobile app. Customers can place their orders quickly through the online/mobile interface and pick them up at the restaurant without having to wait in line. Integrated payments and customer loyalty rewards are also part of the mobile ordering system, encouraging patrons to return to Yoshi's often.

Why Choose Yoshi's?
Yoshi's could be a good option for franchisees who want to work in the fast-food industry. Because the chain is small, franchisees may have the chance to work directly with the founder and get started on the "ground floor" of the chain. The unique menu offerings can provide entrepreneurs with a franchise opportunity that is different from the larger fast-food chains focused on burgers and fries.

History
Yoshi's Fresh Asian Grill was started by Yoshi Natori, a Japanese native from Nagano. He actually developed the concept for his chain during his time working for a different Japanese restaurant. In 1989, he opened the first Yoshi's in Phoenix, Arizona, with the goal to provide fresh and healthy food to customers. Yoshi opened a second Phoenix location soon after, and a third location in Phoenix is set to open in the near future. The Yoshi's chain is currently seeking entrepreneurs interested in opening additional franchise locations.
Ideal Candidate
Good candidates for a Yoshi's franchise are those who have the desire to operate a business in the competitive fast-food industry. Because the brand is just beginning to grow, potential franchisees should be willing to work with the founder to solidify the concept and expand the customer base. Entrepreneurs should also be able to utilize the online/mobile ordering system and POS software integrated into the existing restaurants.
